The correlation between parental involvement and students` English learning achievementat the tenth class of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Nganjuk
Education is essential for the development of society. The more educated the people of a society are, the more civilized and well disciplined the society might be. Mainly, family has responsibility to socialize children for making them productive members of society. The more the parents involve in the process of imparting education to their children, the more the children might excel in their academic career and to become the productive and responsible members of society. So, the principal objective of this study is to find out the extent of the correlation between parentai involvement and students' English learning achievement at the tenth class of MAN 3 Nganjuk.
In this study the researcher used a quantitative method. The instruments of this study are questionnaire and English daily exercise. The test consists of 25 items of English daily exercises and 25 items of questionnaire The questionnaire used was the one adapted from Schute et.al. While the Pearson Product Moment formula is used to investigate the extent parent's involvement has no significant relationship on their children's English Learning Achievement. And the writer did not calculate it in manual, but used SPSS 21 program in order to make easy and valid.
The result of applying SPSS 21 shows that, the coefficient correlation was 0.374 It means is (0.137 0.374). So alternative hypothesis (HI) is rejected and null hypothesis is accepted. conclusion of this research is there is no significance correlation between Parental Involvement and Student's English Learning Achievement at the tenth class of MAN 3 Nganjuk
