The effectiveness of using TAD (Transition-Action-Details) strategy in teaching writing recount text at junior high school
The aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness in using Transition-Action - Details (TAD) Strategy in teaching writing recount text at the second year of MTs PSM Loceret, Nganjuk TAD (Transition Action Details) strategy is writing strategy that uses TAD chart consisting of column and rows showing a sequence of events. There are three column that should be filled by participant transition, action, and details column
The design of this study is quasi experimental design. The population of this research is second semester of the second grade students of MTs PSM Loceret. The sample of this research consists of two classes, there are class B as experimental group and class A as control group. The experimental group was taught by using TAD strategy and the control group was taught by mind mapping. To collect the data pre-test and post test were applied to experimental group and control group. The result of the test was analyzed by using ANCOVA through SPSS 26.
After analyzing the data, the writer found that there is significant effect of Transition-Action-Details (TAD) strategy to improve the skill of writing recount paragraph of the second year students MTs PSM Loceret, where the significant value of the class is .000 which is lower than 0.05. Based on the result above, TAD (Transition-Action - Details) strategy is effective to use in teaching writing skill on recount text at MTs PSM Loceret
