Students` attitude towards the use of quizizz in english language assessment
Technology can be used in every diverse way within the classroom, it will concentrate in teacher preparation and creativity, for example through conducting online forums, dynamizing virtual reality test, simulating, or performing activities, assignments, and competition through the virtual setting. Recently, students' task, test, and assignment have been in the form of online. When applying online assessment, students can have possitive or negative responses, due to the factors which have an impact. It means that the students' attitude towards the use of e- learning or e-exam could influence their learning behavior. This study aimed to identify the students' attitude towards Quizizz in English language assessment.
The study employed as survey research because it was conducted to investigate and describe the characteristic of the subject of the research. This research used participant from students of SMPN 2 Sooko year 2020/2021 especially the ninth grade that consists of 189 students. For the sample, it took 30% of the students which are 57 students as the sample of this study. Questionnaire and interview guide are the instrument of this study. The data obtained through five point of Likert scale survey and reported in percentage
The finding of this research shows that the students' attitude toward the use of Quizizz in English language assessment is positive. From the three aspect of attitude, the first is the cognitive aspect analysis, 6 items showed the mean score is 3.74. The affective aspect analysis in 4 items showed the mean score is 3.61. The behavioral aspect analysis in 4 items showed the mean score is 3.6. The result of this study shows the overall mean score is 50.48. It means that most the students have a positive attitude from the category of students' attitude towards the use of Quizizz in English language assessment. In interview guide, it showed a different result. In spite of the participants have a high interested in Quizizz, in reality, their score in English did not increase. It can conclude that the students are interested and appreciating in assessing English with Quizizz, but it is not in line with their score in English which is not being increased
