Developing English integrated supplementary materials for the tenth grade Islamic senior high school studets
This research aims to develop English learning materials which are incorporated with religious alues for tenth graders of Islamic senior high school (Madrasah Aliyah) at Miftahul "Ula Nganjuk Seaching English in context becomes an essential issue especially for the students who hold the Islamic ackground The idea to incorporate religious values in learning materials is very important to engage he students' motivation as well as to meet the goal of learning English in context. This is a Research and Development study. In order to answer the research questions, ADDIE motional design model was used as the method of the research covering the need analysis, lesigning the syllabus, material development, product validation, try out and the final product. The a were collected through questionnaire and interviews. The instrument used to collect the data was estionnaire for the students and interview guideline for the English teachers and an expert of eligious values, and expert validation sheets. The data were analyzed descriptively.
The result of the study showed that there are 15 points of religious values which can be womoted in the English learning materials. Then the English learning materials which are incorporated with those religious values were appropriate for the students of Islamic senior high school. It can be en from the result of the mean score which ranged from 3.28-3.42 for the expert validation while he try-out result with the students ranged from 3.18-3.40 which mostly categorized as "Very Good". Heer, the English learning materials was considered appropriate and acceptable for the students of lamic senior high schools in order to engage students' motivation and assist them for learning English in context.
