Teachers` oral feedback and the students` responses at MTs. Negeri 7 Kediri
Teacher feedback is one of the features of teacher talks that is an imputat
part that cannot be avoided to communicate in EFL classes Feedback is
conceptualized as information about a person's performance or understanding
delivered by the educator Previous research has shown the findings of
feedback in Indonesia. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting
research at MTsN 7 Kediri. Some reasons why this research was conducted at
MTSN 7 Kedin First, because there has been no research on seacher oral feedback
in MTsN 7 Kedin Second, the school already uses curriculum 13, which is the
active role of students in the classroom. The purpose of this study is to investigate
the teacher's oral feedback type used in class interaction and find out students
responses to the teacher's oral feedback
This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative. By involving two teachers and four eighth classes, cach class had around forty students. To collect data, researchers used observation sheets and supported video recording to ignore four class interaction moetings with two meetings for teachers and two meetings for several students. The researcher distributes a set of questionnaires to students and interviews two teachers and four students Data analysis starts with reading and describing The next step is classifying and interpreting After that the researcher supports the data by cross-checking and comparing each of the results from the observation sheet, video recording, questionnaire and interview The final point is to interpret and represent data
The results showed that there were five types of teacher's oral foodhack is class, namely evaluative, corrective, descriptive, ractional, and motivational The most teachers use this type of corrective feedback, so coactive feedba stands first as the type of oral feedback the teacher uses in class interactions based on the results of student responses shows that most whalents are vary motivated by the teacher's oral feedback given by the teacher, but there are so students showing their responses with two types, namely the happy face when giving positive verbal feedback in the form of praise and added value, as well an the expression uncomfortable face when given segove verbal back in the form of a reprimand
