The correlation among students` literacy habit, intelligence quotient, and critical thinking of second year students in SMA 1 Kediri
The research is motivated by Indonesia government in pursuing the student to be a critical thinker and applying literacy habit inside the curriculum based on 4C 21st century. This study tried to determine the correlation among students' literacy habit, Intelligent Quotient, and critical thinking. 127 respondents of second year student in SMAN 1 Kediri are taken as the samples of the study. All of the respondents are further being given a test on critical thinking and a questionnaire of literacy habit. The IQ scores are taken from the Bimbingan Konseling record in the odd semester of 2018/2019. The results of scores are analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Results of the analysis found that literacy habit and IQ have positive and significant influence on critical thinking. Hypothesis testing using correlation tests showed that each literacy habit and IQ found to significantly affect students' critical thinking. Then through the F test showed that literacy habit and IQ have significant simultaneous in students' critical thinking. Figures adjusted R Square of 0.14 indicates that 14 percent of the variations of students' critical thinking can be explained by independent variables used in the regression equation. While the rest of 86 percent is explained by another variable outside the variables used within this research.
