The Impementation Of Theacher's Questioning Strategy To Improve Reading Achievements Of The Students Of MA Al-Huda Kota Kediri
This study aimed at improving students reading achievement through Teachers Questioning strategy of the students in MA Al-Huda Kota Kediri. The subject of this study was the tenth grade students which consist of 12 students, 9 female students and 3 male students. In this study the researcher used Narrative text for the material. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) and it is conducted in two cycles. This study used some instruments, such as reading test. students' observation sheet, and field note. The results of this research show that by using Teachers' Questioning strategy is successful to improve the students reading achievement. It was approved by mean score of the students, the total of students' success, and also from observation sheet. In the pretest, the mean score of reading test was 53 and the students' success was 8%. In the cycle one the mean score was 69 and the students success was42% from the table that is used to observing students shows that in the first meeting the percentage of students active was 25% and the total of students active in the second meeting was 33% While the in cycle II the mean score was 77 and the students' success was 83%. The student observations' checklist showed that in the first meeting of cycle 11, the total of active students was 58%and the total of students active in second meeting was 67 From those results show that the criteria of minimum score (74) was reached and the criteria of success in this research was reached because the percentage of success full students was improved. So, it can be conclude that Teachers' Questioning was successful to improve students' reading achievement for the tenth grade students in MA AL Huda Kota Kediri.
