THE EFFECTIVENESS OF WHOLE BRAIN METHOD IN TEACHING PREPOSITION OF TIME AND PLACE AT THE NINTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMP ISLAM YBWPI KEDIRI
This study conducted to know that there is any effectiveness of using Whole Brain Method to improve vocabulary in The Ninth Grade of SMP Islam YBWPI Kediri. The object of this study is to know whether the students taught by using Whole Brain Method have better score than the students who taught conventionally without Whole Brain Method. The researcher calculate the overall score of the students before and after got the treatment. The subject of this study was The Ninth Grade of SMP Islam YBWPI Kediri. In this researh, the researcher take two class. There are 30 students in each class.
The research design of this study is quasi-experimental quantitative design. The researcher will do some experiments by giving some treatments to the subject study to know that there is any effectiveness of using Whole Brain Method to improve their Engglish in The Ninth Grade of SMP Islam YBWPI Kediri by comparing two group of study (experimental and control group). The experimental group will be taught by using Whole Brain Method and control group will be taught without using Whole Brain Method.
The result of statistical computation ANCOVA show that Whole Brain Method is significant. Whole Brain Method has a positive influence on the academic achievement of students. Whole Brain Method has made a huge difference in the way students remember and retain information, students are more engaged, their critical thinking is increased and students are actively participating inside the classrooms. It can be seen at sign value from the table test between subject effects. The data can be said significant if has significant at ρ (0,000 < 0.05). in this research the significant value is about 0, 001 or less than 0, 05. So, it can conclude that by using Whole Brain Method is effective.
