The Analysis of Main Character’s Change of Their Misbehavior in “The Ron Clark Story” Movie
Some teachers have problems to handle misbehavior students. Some of
them get hard pressure of their student’s misbehavior. This research expresses
the teaching method to handle misbehavior students and misbehavior change of
main characters.
This study uses descriptive qualitative method as the method. The focus
of this study is kinds of misbehavior, teaching method used by teacher to handle
misbehavior students and misbehavior change of main characters in this movie.
The subject of this research is The Ron Clark Story movie by Randa Haines. To
analyze kind of misbehavior, the writer uses theory of Rudolf Dreikurs. This
theory reveals 4 kinds of misbehavior, those are power seeking, attention
seeking, revenge seeking and failure avoiding.
The findings of this research above show that three students as main
characters identified misbehavior in the movie. The kind of student misbehavior
in the Ron Clark Story can be grouped into four categories. The result of this
research is there are some of misbehavior happens to main characters such as
insulting teacher, lie, back talk, noisy act and fighting. The second is the
classroom management used by teacher like make innovative teaching, planting
self-discipline, giving motivation, friendly and carrying with students. The last
is the misbehavior change happens to main characters in The Ron Clark Story
movie like respect with teacher, diligent doing assignment, stop being gangster
and attention teacher’s saying.
