The Effectiveness of Using Bamboo Dancing Method In Teaching Speaking Skill At The Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 2 Pare
This study focuses on The Effectiveness of Using Bamboo Dancing Method in Teaching Speaking Skill at the Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 2 Pare. The objective of this study is to know whether the students have better speaking skill or not by using bamboo dancing method. The Subject of the research is the students at the eleventh-grade of SMAN 2 Pare in the second semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. They were class XI MIA 1 as experimental group that was taught by using Bamboo Dancing Method and class XI MIA 7 as control group that was taught by non Bamboo Dancing Method. The instrument tests, namely pretest and posttest. The score of them was calculated by using ANCOVA. In the result of pre test, the mean score of experimental is 53.00 while the mean score of control group is 54.00. in the post test, the mean score of experimental is 77.00 while the mean score of control group is 73.83. Then the result of ANCOVA assumption shows that the distribution is normal that is .080 for pre test and .144 for post test. Then, the homogenity variance of both groups are equal that is .960 > .05 and there is no interaction between covariate and independent, as evidenced by .318 > .05. Then, there is a relationship between covariate and the dependent variable, .047 < .05. Then the result of stsatistical computation of ANCOVA states that the result is significant .000 < .05. Since the significant value is lower than .05 statically there is enough evidence to reject null hypothesis, then the alternative hypothesis is recived. It means that teaching speaking skill by using Bamboo Dancing Method is effective.
