Improving Irreguler Verb Mastery Through Rap song At The Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 5 Kediri
vocabulary in order to be the one that has meaning. English is the universal language that is learned by the whole population of the world. In Indonesia, the English language has been learned from early age. However, the average of the students, complain of difficulty in learning English because it is difficult to understand and master the vocabulary. Therefore, for the teachers, it is important to be more innovative in presenting learning materials with a variety of media. One of the media that can be to improve the mastery of vocabulary is using a song, because song is not only easier to help students master the material but also enhance students' motivation to learn. So that their enthusiasm in learning English in particular increase the purse of their vocabulary. There are a lot of media in learning the English language that can be used as a learning media, one of them is through the education rap song. Therefore, this study aims to improve students vocabulary mastery through rap song by using “Stick Stuck Stuck” (The irregular Verb Song) by Fluency MC to memorize Irregular Verb.
This research uses classroom action research (CAR) in two cycles. In this research, the reseacher does some cycles in order to get succesful in getting the targetted score 80% of students get minimum score 78. Each cycle consists of four stages, there are planning, action, observation, and reflection. Moreover, to collecting the data, the researcher uses observation checklist and vocabulary test.
