This final project is about a study of the effectiveness of Hanifida Method to improve vocabulary mastery in seventh grade students of MTs Raudlatut Thalabah Kolak-Ngadiluwih in academic year 2012/2013. The objective of this study is to know whether the students who are taught using Hanifida Method have better vocabulary mastery than those who are taught not using Hanifida Method.
In order to achieve the objective of the study, the writer designed an experimental research. The subject of this research are the seventh graders of MTs Raudlatut Thalabah Kolak Ngadiluwih in the second semester in the academic year 2012/2013. And the researcher took 68 students as the samples and divided into two classes. They were experimental group and control group.
To collect the data, the writer used pre-test and post-test to experimental and control group. The result of the test was analyzed using the Ancova formula. Based on the data analysis, the result of F obtained is 12.5. It is compared with F table value with the degree of freedom (df) 65 at 0.05 (3.98). In the result, the F obtained is greater than F table. It means that the null hypothesis saying that “The student who are taught using Hanifida Method have the same vocabulary mastery as those who are taught not using Hanifida Method” can be rejected and the hypothesis 1 (H1)“The student who are taught using Hanifida method have better vocabulary mastery than those who are taught not using Hanifida Method” is accepted.
Based on the result of the test, the researcher concluded that Hanifida Method is effective to improve the seventh graders’ vocabulary of MTs Raudlatut Thalabah Kolak Ngadiluwih. The researcher would like to suggest to the students to explore their skills, including the vocabulary mastery.
