Improving english vocabulary through active learning “great wind blow” of the eleventh grader students of ma nu mojosari ngepeh loceret nganjuk 2013 / 2014 / Nurhadi

The purpose of this research is to know how the learning process using active learning great wind blow improves students’ vocabulary at the eleventh grade student of MA NU Mojosari Ngepeh Nganjuk. The kind of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), with the eleventh grade students of MA NU Mojosari Ngepeh Loceret Nganjuk as the object of this research. The researcher uses the interview, observation, test, and the documentation. The characteristic of this research is qualitative, and the the kind of this research is Classroom action research (CAR).
Based on the criterion of success, it is 75 % of the student get score 75 minimally in the test and the average score is at least 75. The research contain 2 cycles, they are cycle I and cycle II. The result of cycle I is that the students got score 75 or above is 33, 3 % and the average score is 56, 5. Based on the criterion of success, the cycle I is unsuccessful. Than the result of cycle II is that the students got score 75 or above is 100 % and the average score is 86, 5. Based on the criterion of success, the cycle II is successful.
Based on the criteria of success, it can be concluded that active learning Great Wind Blow can improve students’ English vocabulary at the eleventh grade of MA NU Mojosari Ngepeh Loceret nganjuk.
