The role of nyai in leading at pondok pesantren putri tahfidzil qur`an Lirboyo, Kediri, East Java

Pondok Pesantren is a typical educational institution in Indonesia Pond Pesantren is generally led by charismatic figures that are central to determining direction and policy making. In a very long period, the leadership of the Pesantren especially in Java, has been identical with the leadership of the Kiai Along with the mutation in curriculum, Pesantren also experienced development and change in the field of leadership. In addition to being inherited to offspring, a Pesantren is also inherited from the wife of the Kyai called "Nyai", it is usually done when a Kiar passed away. It is appeared at Pondok Pesantren Putri Tahfidzil Quran Lirboyo. This Pesantren is led by a Nyai She regulates everything related to the education process in PP Putri Tahfidzil Quran Lirboyo, There are some problems in this study that must be formulated to answer the conclusion. Based on the background of the study above, the problem of study can be formulated as follows: (1)the role of Nyur as a leader at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzil Qur'an Lirboyo, (2)the role of Nyui as an innovator at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzil Qur'an Lirboyo, (3)the role of Nyar as a motivator at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzil Qur'an Lirboyo, (4)What is the role of Nya as a role model at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzil Qur'an Lirboyo

This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation The data analysis process includes collecting data, checking data and formulating conclusions The final step taken is checking the validity of the data by triangulation

The results of this research are Nyai has many roles in running leadership 1. Nyai as a Leader, Nyai is a person who is an objective person, Nyur is a firm person, Ny can communicate well, and Nyar knows well the values of technology knowledge. 2. Nyai as an Innovator. In carrying out its role, Nyur has many ideas, Nyai can manage the environment well, and Nyai is able to develop a management structure. 3. Nyai as a Motivator. In carrying out its role, Nu can encourage enthusiastic student learning, Nyur provides an inspiration, and Nyai can provide a solution well. 4. Nyai as a role model. In carrying out its role, Nyai is a good role model, Nyui is a patient leader, Nyal is a wise person in making decisions. In leadership, Nyur is a figure who plays the role as a leader, innovator, motivator and role model Nyai is a figure of modern day Khodijah bin Khuwailid
