Classroom management conducted by a teacher will be different from other teachers because there are some factors that influences. The factors might come from teacher, students, family, and facilities. Also there are some aspects related to classroom management. The researcher is interested to know more about classroom management, especially when she gets information that there is a native speaker who teaches in MAN Kandangan Kediri. This research is conducted to know the classroom management conducted by native speaker and non-native speaker and the strengths and weaknesses of the both.
This research is conducted in MAN Kandangan Kediri. During the process of research, there are some methods that are used to gain data like observation, interview, and documentation. The research focuses on the classroom managements conducted by native speaker and non-native speaker teachers of MAN Kandangan. The classes that are chosen are XI-IPS 3 and XI-Bahasa 2.
The result of the research shows that there are some differences between classroom management conducted by native speaker and non-native speaker of MAN Kandangan, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the both. The native speaker’s classroom management’s strengths appear on the class’ rule, attendance checking, list of participation, teacher’s expression and no home work. Meanwhile the weakness of native speaker’ classroom management is that there is no handbook. The non-native speaker’s classroom management’s strengths appear on a good starting, good adjustment, and clean habit. Meanwhile the weakness is about discipline.
